[Elton] Simpson was well known to the FBI. Five years ago he was convicted for lying to federal agents about his plans to travel to Africa, but a judge ruled the government did not adequately prove he was going to join a terror group there.

As for the second suspect, the FBI is combing through files on all of Simpson's known associates in Phoenix and elsewhere, but so far there has been no word on the accomplice's identity.

Iraq crisis: End 'very near' for Christianity after Isis takeover, says Bishop

The vicar of the only Anglican church in Iraq has warned the end for Christians in the country appears "very near" as he appealed for help after a deadline set by Islamic militants to convert or be killed expired.

"Things are so desperate, our people are disappearing," he said. "We have had people massacred, their heads chopped off.

"Make no mistake: Throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality."

"Are we seeing the end of Christianity? We are committed come what may, we will keep going to the end, but it looks as though the end could be very near."

"As a student of history, I also know civilization's debt to Islam. Period. Full stop. [It is] a faith known for great diversity and racial equality."

A report by Human Rights Watch (HRW) found that from 14 July homes in Mosul were painted with the letter "N" for Nasrani (the Arabic word for Christian). Others were painted with the letter "R" for Rafidah, a word commonly used by Sunni to describe Shia.

"Make no mistake: We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country. I also know that Islam has always been a part of America's story."

The vicar is in London to speak about the crisis and raise awareness of the urgent need to provide more help to the persecuted minority.

[It is] my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn't. And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear."

"The Christians are in grave danger. There are literally Christians living in the desert and on the street. They have nowhere to go," he told the programme.

"Let me be clear: Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism — it is an important part of promoting peace. The Holy Koran tells us, 'O mankind! We have created you male and a female; and we have made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another.'"

"We do not want Britain to forget us. We — and I'm saying 'we' talking like an Iraqi Christian — have always been with the British because they have already been with us.

"This is something that I'm sure I'd have serious debates with my fellow [sic] Christians about. I think [sic] that the difficult thing about any religion, including Christianity, is that at some level there is a call to evangelize and prostelytize. There's the belief, certainly in some quarters, that people haven't embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior that they're going to hell.

"Let me be perfectly clear: Even those who claim the Bible's inerrancy make distinctions between Scriptural edicts, sensing that some passages — the Ten Commandments, say, or a belief in Christ's divinity — are central to Christian faith, while others are more culturally specific and may be modified to accommodate modern life. Make no mistake: Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation. We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation. [But] Islam has always been part of America; [so] we will encourage more Americans to study in Muslim communities.

"Here's the deal: America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings."

"Individual churches, individual Christians in Britain, have been a bigger help than anybody around the world."

"The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam. Period. Full stop."

Up to a million Christians lived in Iraq prior to the US-led invasion in 2003, with many residing in areas such as Mosul where the communities date back to the first centuries of Christianity.

There are now thought to be fewer than half that number.

"Make no mistake: In ancient times and in our times, Muslim communities have been at the forefront of innovation and education. [That's why] the sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer."

An attention-craving preacher burns a Qur'an Book of Hate™. Followers of this Book of Hate go out and cold-bloodedly murder anyone they can get their hands knuckle-dragged claws on. Attention-craving preacher's point ably, amply, and incontrovertibly proved: islam is not, by any rational standard, a "religion of peace." Liberals crawling out from under their respective rocks to defend such "religion" against "intolerance," "violent rhetoric," and "phobia" is an ironic bonus.

Except there are better ways to insult a "religion" so thoroughly deserving of every insult that everyone who is willing and able to see it for the murderously dangerous cult and worldwide, malignant cancer it futilely pretends it isn't, and to heap on it all the insults it has earned and should entirely receive, can imagine.

The next time murderous muslims^(birm), in the name of their "religion" primitive moongod prejudices and deadly intolerance, attack and kill another large group of innocent people, we "insult" their "religion" by doing a bit of landscaping. In Mecca. A hundred megatons of it, to be precise.

With that "religion" dead and all its former followers either scattered or beaten, islam will, for once in its overly long, misery-spreading existence, truly be the vehicle — after it's totally burned out and hydraulically crushed, of course — upon which the world achieves a real and lasting peace.

erhaps Imam Øbamuslim will invite Florida pastor Terry Jones to a Halal Summit™ at the White House Kaaba On The Potomac^®.

The same liberals who followed Obama in emphasizing Imam Feisel Abdul Rauf's right to build a mosque near "ground zero" despite the outcry over the sensitivity of doing so, now about-face to emphasize the sensitivity of burning the Koran over the right to do so. In fact, some liberals went out of their way to refute the "sensitivity" argument. Where are they now?....

ABC News attempted a smear job, calling Jones' plan "hate" and "theological belligerence."...

What the ABC piece didn't comment on was the vandalism done to Jones' church already apparent in the very video ABC shot. His event sign had been spray-painted "NAZI," his church sign busted, and the cross on the church building busted. What's odd here? Why not consider who likely would have committed such acts? The implication is "serves him right," but no, it does not. Most likely the only people who would have reacted thusly would have been radical Muslims or radical leftists — people who by definition don't care about other people's property. No comment from the media [Demøqrat Propaganda Ministry™] on that.

Disintegration of aircraft

The explosion punched a 20-inch-wide hole on the left side of the fuselage, almost directly under the 'P' in Pan Am. The disintegration of the aircraft was rapid....

Shock waves from the blast ricocheted back from the fuselage skin in the direction of the bomb, meeting pulses still coming from the initial explosion. This produced Mach stem shock waves, calculated to be 25% faster than, and double the power of, the waves from the explosion itself. These Mach stem waves pulsing through the ductwork bounced off overhead luggage racks and other hard surfaces, jolting the passengers. A section of the 747's roof several feet above the point of detonation peeled away....

Then the whole front section of the aircraft, containing the flight deck with crew and the first class section, broke away altogether.... When the fuselage disintegrated the cabin depressurised to a quarter of ground-level pressure, leaving the passengers fighting for breath. Because of the sudden change in air pressure, the gases inside the passengers' bodies would have expanded to four times their normal volume, causing their lungs to swell and then collapse.

The explosion knocked out the power plunging the passenger cabin into darkness. A Scottish Fatal Accident Inquiry, which opened on 1 October 1990, heard that, when the cockpit broke off, the fuselage was now an open cylinder. Tornado-force winds tore up the aisles slamming into the chest making it even more difficult to breathe and stripping the clothes off the passengers. Some were thrown to the rear. Other people and objects not fixed down were blown out of the aircraft into the night at temperatures of -46 °C, their 31,000-foot fall through the night time troposphere lasting about two minutes. Some passengers remained attached to the fuselage by their seat belts, crashing to earth strapped to their seats.

Although the passengers would have lost consciousness through lack of oxygen, forensic examiners believe some of them might have regained consciousness as they fell toward oxygen-rich lower altitudes. Forensic pathologist Dr William G. Eckert, director of the Milton Helpern International Center of Forensic Sciences at Wichita State University, who examined the autopsy evidence, told Scottish police he believed the flight crew, some of the flight attendants, and 147 other passengers survived the bomb blast and depressurisation of the aircraft, and may have been alive on impact. None of these passengers showed signs of injury from the explosion itself, or from the decompression and disintegration of the aircraft. Forensic tests on some of the bodies suggested that their heartbeats may have continued after the explosion, and David McMullon, a helicopter pilot who was involved in the search for bodies, claimed to have found one victim who was clutching a handful of grass....

The resultant fireball destroyed several houses and was so intense that little remained of the left wing of the aircraft. No remains were ever found of any of the passengers who were seated over this section of the wing....

All 243 passengers and 16 crew members were killed. Eleven residents of Lockerbie also died. Of the total of 270 fatalities, 190 were American citizens. The 270 victims of the bombing came from 21 countries.

Dr Eckert told Scottish police that distinctive marks on Captain MacQuarrie's thumb suggested he had been hanging onto the yoke of the plane as it descended, and may have been alive when the plane crashed. The captain, first officer, flight engineer, a flight attendant and a number of first-class passengers were found still strapped to their seats inside the nose section when it crashed in a field by a tiny church in the village of Tundergarth. The inquest heard that the flight attendant was alive when found by a farmer's wife, but died before her rescuer could summon help....

Four members of one family, Jack and Rosalind Somerville and their children Paul and Lynsey, died when their house at 15 Sherwood Crescent exploded.

Kathleen Flannigan,41, Thomas Flannigan,44, and their daughter Joanne,10, were killed by the explosion in their house 16 Sherwood Crescent. Their son Steven, 14, saw the fireball engulf his home from a neighbour's garage where he had gone to repair his sister's bicycle....

For many days, Lockerbie residents lived with the sight of bodies in their gardens and in the streets....

Local resident Bunty Galloway told authors Geraldine Sheridan and Thomas Kenning... "Two more girls were lying dead across the road, one of them bent over garden railings. It was just as though they were sleeping. The boy lay at the bottom of my stairs for days. Every time I came back to my house for clothes he was still there. 'My boy is still there,' I used to tell the waiting policeman. Eventually on Saturday I couldn't take it no more. 'You got to get my boy lifted,' I told the policeman. That night he was moved"....

The people of the town washed, dried, and ironed every piece of clothing that was found once the police had determined they were of no forensic value, so that as many items as possible could be returned to the relatives....

White House linked to [terrorist] flotilla organizers

A top adviser to President [sic] Obama is the contact person within the White House for communications with the [Hamas-supporting] Free Gaza Movement over plans to challenge Israel's blockade of the terrorist Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, according to a reputable source close to the Netanyahu government.

The source, a career official whose reliability was established through his tips for the book, "Why Israel Can't Wait," identified John O. Brennan, deputy national security adviser for homeland security and counterterrorism, as the contact....

Brennan's activities in his "counterterrorism" work have involved him in situations with domestic groups known to have ties to Middle East terrorism.

WND previously has reported that Brennan participated in a meeting with Muslim law students, facilitated by the Islamic Society of North America, a group that was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a case where the founders of the Holy Land Foundation of Texas were given life sentences "for funneling $12 million" to Hamas, the group currently in political control of Gaza.

WND further reported that at a meeting with Muslim law students at New York University, Brennan declared himself a "citizen of the world"....

Obama's Chicago radical pals at center of Free Gaza Movement

WND previously reported that Weather Underground terrorists William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, as well as Jodie Evans, the leader of the radical activist organization Code Pink, were top supporters of the Free Gaza Movement, a coalition of leftist U.S. activists and pro-Palestinian groups that organized the six-ship flotilla that attempted to run the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

Obama began his political career in Chicago at a 1995 fundraiser held in the Chicago apartment of Ayers and Dohrn....
